Leadership and Coaching Skills Program

The Leadership and Coaching Skills will provide your sales managers and aspiring sales leaders with a well-rounded hands-on program designed to improve their leadership, mentoring and sales coaching skills.

The goal of this program is to help build and grow the leaders that run your sales teams. It will focus on process and skills for success while additionally address key personal development areas that impact leadership effectiveness.

  • A common language and approach to leading and developing the team

Leadership and coaching skills are very personal skills this program is hands-on, experiential, and therefore should ideally be delivered as a hybrid program.

This 25-hour program would be delivered as follows:

  • 2 days in-person training
  • 3 Remote (Via Zoom) sales management group coaching sessions to review implementation, share best practices and problem solve
  • One-on-one sales leadership sessions for each leader
  • S.W.O.T. analysis of team after program

Skills, attitudes, and systems for sales growth

There are core building blocks that need to be in place to effectively grow and then sustain a winning sales team. According to in-depth research by Gallup, the likelihood of an individual’s success and longevity in the workplace has no greater contributing factor than the quality of relationship and support they receive from their immediate manager.

Success in sales does not guarantee we can successfully build a sales team. It’s helpful to understand process and have the credibility of a top performer but that’s only the beginning. In fact, what makes people successful in selling can work against them in leadership roles. We need strong people development skills and the ability to step away from “doing” and into equipping our team for success. This moves us from managing to truly leading.

In this program sales leaders will learn:

  • The core competencies of an effective sales leader
  • The power of effective sales coaching
  • Moving from “enabler” to “equipper” and people developer
  • How add structure to your coaching that improves accountability and results
  • One-on-one coaching strategies that help spark your team’s personal motivations
  • How to run effective sales meetings
  • How to invest your time and energy for maximum ROI

*Participants will do a self-assessment on their own coaching and leadership styles.

This program will be based upon Sales Academy’s sales leadership and coaching programs and include Leadership, Values, Health & Wellness and Leadership Style assessments and profiles produced by the Consulting Resource Group. We can also will pull in leadership experts and coaches as “guest speakers” and facilitators if budget and timing allow.
